Goal and Objectives
BASS Goal:
Our principal goals are to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, while looking to achieve universal primary education. Through our efforts we also strive to promote gender equality, the empowerment of women, and the reduction of child mortality. Additional goals of BASS include the improvement of maternal health, fighting the spread of HIV/Aids, malaria and other diseases. We wish to ensure environmental sustainability through our efforts and we will create a Global Partnership for Development by 2015 in the target areas of Guntur District.
BASS Objectives
- To build up an equitable society through empowerment of the vulnerable and poor communities include women, children and physically and mentally challenged by facilitate social, economic, educational, economical, health care and gender equity and emergency relief activities
- Facilitate livelihood development by reduction of vulnerabilities and poverty of the poor through income generation, micro finance, Self Help groups’ promotion and bank linkages
- To educate and motivate the poor by creates a strong civil society and an ability to influence government decisions and direct access for the poor to government resources
- To discover changes in the gender relationships by facilitate equal control, access, decisions making and freedom to shape their own destinies
- Creation of balanced and inclusive society with equal participation from Dalits, Tribes, women and other excluded groups in the society.
- To educate and promote access of universal primary education to all the children under 14 years of age.
- Education and health care for all and equal access to justice and the fulfillment of basic needs like food, shelter, safe drinking water and sanitation.
- To reduce child labor and schools dropouts by establish special innovative educational programs.
